"Judas men on chariots Both faces, both faces to the crowd Backstabbing swordsmen Can't hold their heads up proud" - Praying Mantis, Thirty Pieces of Silver
Who Dares Wins : Take a chance and it will be awesome.
Do you remember that one time, way back, when we ruined your gaming experience? When your moderators could do fuck all against the wave of Team Zombie troopers advancing on your fortresses. Do you remember the time your big epic victory fleet of space ships flew towards our planet, only to be shot down in one swipe from our defences? Do you remember when one of us marched in and killed all of your contraptions in Gcombat?
If you love to ruin Garry's Mod for everybody else just as much as we do, this group is for you.
It's a simple, skill-based, space shooter where you are a flotilla of space pirate ships and you kick everything's ass that stands in your way.
Gameplay wise it's easy to play, not too difficult to become a master of at normal and even veteran difficulties. The way you arm your ships gives you a lot of customisation options with many different ship hulls, allowing you to make your fleet fulfill almost any role you can think of. The combat flows incredibly smoothly for an indie title, as well.
You spend most of the game playing part in a galactic conflict between rebel civilians and their former government along with fighting bounty hunters and eventually zombies. You have to manage your resources and win over or destroy these factions in the system to reach more systems, make certain factions stronger or get additional parts or simply for the do$h. This makes the game very strategy oriented.
Aesthetically it is a very pretty game. It doesn't boast Crysis level graphics, but it's incredibly well stylised. Along with other ambient things like radio chatter and ambient noises and sounds that just add more style and flavour to the universe, this game's atmosphere is very well designed. Obviously not to the point you're going to feel like you're really there through immersion, let's be serious it's a 2d top-down space shooter, but it's incredibly well put together.
Seriously, 11/10. It's cheap, buy it. It's seriously worth it. Plenty of replay value as I've finished the game three times in the past two weeks.
