I hated it. It's poorly ported from consoles, the mouse lag and sensitivity is so bad that it made playing the game a chore. It may be intentional to make it difficult to turn around and limit your control, but that's shitty. If you're looking for a game to scare you, don't bother with this one. All of the monsters move exceptionally slow in well lit areas. They even give you a cutscene of each new monster, clearly showing you what they do and giving you a nice long look at them.
The weapons were the coolest part, there were some very original gameplay mechanics and weapon designs, but the upgrade system makes it impossible to use them all and be effective, limiting you to two or three good weapons. I played on the "hard" difficulty, whatever they called it, which was one step above medium/normal, and I found it way too easy.
The storyline is generic and uninteresting, the voice acting is terrible, and the characters are bland and two dimensional.
