Dawn of War II Codex Edition

Welcome to the Codex Edition of Dawn of War 2, a mod that aims to capture the atmosphere, intensity, and "fluff" of the 40k universe. This mod is completely unofficial and in no way endorsed by Games Workshop Limited.

We are a friendly, competitive community of gamers, and this mod is a constant work in progress; suggestions are welcome, but no flaming or insults. This is the FULL PUBLIC release, but as with any game there are bound to be things that need adjusting. We need lots of games and replays posted, so go forth in the Emperor's name and above all, have fun!

Unit balance, weapons, and persistent bodies and gore have been revamped to more accurately represent the lore, history, and atmosphere of the 40k universe.

This mod will include elite units and extra factions while ensuring the races play distinctly enough from each other to require different strategies to compete effectively.

Codex Edition is an attempt to recreate the feel and intensity of the Warhammer 40k universe in
a way that many players felt was lacking in the origninal DoW 2. Specifically, it is a blend of TT elements and background/fluff from 40k material to
provide a more exciting and immersive tactical war game.
