This recommendation should be pretty obvious. And add mods for maximum fun! Workshop mods work if you're lazy, but I highly recommend looking into using Wrye Bash for maximizing your fun from modded content.

Pretty much an expansion pack for Fallout 3, but with its own standalone story. Which isn't a bad thing at all. Has great DLC, like Dead Money and Old World Blues. I'd recommend it, but also wait until one of the big Steam sales, because it gets down to ~5USD usually.

Atmospheric, tough survival shooter in the same vein as STALKER. What's not to like?

Well, aside from the difficulty being weird, and the AI slightly lacking. Otherwise, it's a great game.
