I must say, this game is unexpectedly good! I was genuinely surprised by its quality and fun. With it's blend of defencive strategy and rts, it's certainly the best tower defence game out there!

Play Dear Esther in a dark room, headphones on, no distractions, and subtitles turned off. Dear Esther is a broadly magnificent and genuinely moving experience, and that was almost entirely on a sensory level. Playing the game on ultra, I've never seen something this beautiful before. Not even the great BF3 on ultra can't compare itself to this island. Deciphering the plot – the nature of Esther and the narrator’s fate, who’s alive and who isn’t, how long you’ve been on this island, if you’re really still on this island at all, where the car crashed and what caused it to crash. At only 10 bucks and 100 minutes long, treat it as a marvelous movie. We've all paid for a shorter film/worse than that, and still come out of the theatre mildly satisfied. So why not instead of watching a poorly made film, stimulate your senses with this game?

This is the most fun I've had with a side scroller in a long time!! There is a level of diffilucty that I haven't felt for a long time. Certainly one of the best indie games I've played in a long time!
