What would it be like if GTA recognized how silly it was? What would it be like if GTA was actually fun to play?

I never truly enjoyed GTA. That's why I was so hesitant to buy this game when my friends recommended it. They did a great job. This game is fun.

There are definitely some ridiculous elements, but Saints Row does a much better job of embracing the silly than GTA ever did. Plus the ability to customize your own character actually makes me give a shit about the main storyline. I could never empathize with GTA "heroes." I can empathize with my character here.

This game does a good job of being a fun open roaming third person shooter. Check it out if you have the free time/cash. Plus there's a multiplayer element. Hit me up and we'll play.

Have you ever played a game where you just wanted to play it because you wanted to listen to the pretty? If you haven't then you should play Bastion. The narrator is like earsex. Morgan Freeman wishes he had this voice.

Also, on the game's merits, I was surprised. No other game has had such varied one button gameplay. The weapons actually all play differently. Combine that with the fact that you can carry 2 weapons at a time and you've got incredible amounts of flexibility in how you want to play your game.

Solid ARPG stacked with an interesting story, beautiful voice acting, and plenty of play style flexibility makes this game a must buy. Plus, it can even be played in the chrome browser now. What is this technology madness?

Well worth the 15$, and if you're poor grab it on a sale. If you don't want to wait I'll even spot you a 5. This game is that good.

I never thought I would truly like a roguelike. The random factor makes learning the game hard, and the deaths make the game frustrating. DoD handles it beautifully. Making starting a new character as much fun as leveling and progressing really makes it a lot less stressful to die continually. The silliness of the game also makes it hard to be mad at the game for things like a lutefisk parodox, or drinking a chalice full of acid when you just wanted enough mana to heal yourself. The lampshading of tropes really does bring to light how great the roguelike genre is, and this game is a great intro to the genre in how well it handles new players. I would say this is the most noob friendly roguelike I've ever seen. Yet, it still has the depth of many major roguelikes.
