Welcome to ScrimWire!

Well hello there! I’d like to welcome you to ScrimWire.com’s Development . From now on we will be posting updates here about the progress of ScrimWire’s platform. Currently, we are very well into the near-final phases of pre-beta development. What does this mean, you ask? It means that we’re almost ready for private beta. While I’ve been saying this to my peers of our operation for quite some time, this holds true. Soon, we will be inviting some private beta testers into the system to make sure everything is working correctly.

Right now our system is usable but not to the point that we would like for it to be released to the public, so we’ll just keep our mouths shut about what we have in store. I’m sure you’re interested in what we have to offer the gaming community though, so I think we could do to provide information for you. Here are a few key points that we will be addressing with our new game system:

- Ease-of-use Team Play
- Stately Anti-Cheat
- Social Environment
- A clear separation of community and user

While the first three will not be discussed – as I’m not ready to reveal the true nature of ScrimWire just yet – the last one is easier to highlight for you. By separating the community and the user, we will be giving the user a more friendly environment that gives the ability for better features and tools to be handed to said gamer, versus a place where the user is integrated with the community and must participate in the community in order to get anything out of his or her gaming experience (minus sole play or team play in a game). Our wish is to give the user a better opportunity to play how he or she wants to play. Secondly, we will have a community (a very large one at that), but it will be more defined and less cluttered than most gaming communities have been in the past.

One could define clutter as a mass amount of posts in forums, news, or whatever you wish to describe. ScrimWire will not be the same, it will follow a model that will keep content organized and separated so that users are not confused by the gigantic link structures and stacks of information that is necessary to know to play a game. Just like when you go to play tee-ball, you’re not going to need to know exactly how to play in order to get things done. And no, we’re not following Apple’s idiot-proof approach here, but we’re definitely going to make your time spent browsing gaming sites less stressful.

Once we get closer to public beta, I’ll begin to give out some tidbits of information as to what we are doing, exactly, with our system. I can tell you that it is going to be fun and exciting. Feature by feature, you will begin to learn the power of ScrimWire… No, but it’s pretty cool, and we hope you enjoy what we have to offer.

P.S. We have opened our IRC Channel on irc.gamesurge.net – #scrimwire .
