Graphics are pretty. Tutorial threw what felt like really high powered stuff. Didn't really explain why most of the numbers meant even when I hovered over them. Honestly felt like a mobile game.

Don't even know if I finished the tutorial because my friend and I got bored.

As far as Survivor games go, it's decent.

Graphics are cute, early game is fun, late game is plagued with the usual problem of 'I can't tell what's going on'. It's further exacerbated by the fact that all of the effects in the game are along the same color gradient. It's hard to tell if I need to move out of a particular spot because it's an enemy AoE or is it a friendly one?

A really janky take on Grand Theft Auto. Honestly I think it would be a fun game to run around in multiplayer but single player feels really barren.

I received this game as part of a Kickstarter campaign.

Very pleased with the game. Wacky story.

Just, aluminum. Why...why so hard to get.

I received this product in a stream giveaway.

I only played through the game once on easy and quickly found that it wasn't that interesting of the game. One of the easier games that I got 100% on. Took me 4.5 hours, but I may have been able to get it done faster if I hadn't started falling asleep.

Early Access Review
I haven't played many visual novels because normally they don't really engage me as much as other games do. Scarlet Hollow is completely the opposite. From the very first chapter, I found myself getting drawn into the story and the interesting world that the developers have created. The story writing is great. The music and artwork is also fantastic and really help add that extra icing to this fascinating story. I can't wait for the next 5 chapters to come out.

Let me preface this by saying the only other first person parkour game I remember playing in recent years was Dying Light. Received this game as a gift.

Mirrors Edge is a first person parkour game that takes place in a rather interesting social setting. The government is able to monitor every aspect of your life. In order for criminal elements to survive, they rely on runners that run across the rooftops of buildings. The story follows Faith, a runner, as she tries to find out why her sister is being blamed for a murder.

Honestly, the plot and characters didn't really strike me as very interesting. The plot didn't really seem to do much to change the overall setting of the world and felt predictable. Most of the characters seemed to be rather one dimensional, and no character growth was seen.

The mechanics of the game particularly frustrated me. They seemed to approach a more 'realistic' approach to movement, as in it takes your character 2-3 seconds to reach top running speed and it felt very out of place in a video game. There were times where the character refused to grab onto ledges that looked grabable, or refused to pull themselves up onto it. The melee combat was particularly frustrating, as it required near split second response times to the enemies actions. The game provided a 'slow down' mechanic, but it made things so slow, I found myself getting bored and frustrated waiting for the 'magic moment' to disarm an enemy.

There were times where the graphics of the game were beautiful, and other times where it was eye searing white or red that made everything sort of run together. It's a terrible idea when trying to figure out where to go in some areas. The music seemed to be decent though.

Overall the game was 'ok' for me, but found it rather rage inducing rather than challenging.

Edit: adding a few things I forgot. The parkour felt very linear overall, and sometimes was obnoxiously slow. There were several points where there was only one way to go from point A to B. When you've got such an interesting rooftop environment, why not give the player and opportunity to try 3 or 4 different routes? That was something that more 'Open World' games like Dying Light excelled at.

Fun little game that left me feeling very satisfied after cleaning up the islands. Very good for a free game.

Cute point and click adventure game. Beautiful art style. The game is a classic point and click adventure with some other interesting elements thrown in along the way to keep things interesting. Overall, very enjoyable game.

My one compliant is that it was so short!

I received this game as part of the Kickstarter campagin.
