Soft spot for games that reward thinking over reflexes, mainly because I don't have reflexes and have come to fear them over time.
Go-to games would be Trine, Dwarf Fortress, Anno 1404, Age of Empires 2, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Colossus (come on master race only-ers, you know you want it) and Mount&Blade. There's no Turk pride based bias involved in that last one, honest!

Has some of the most well written and witty dialogue I've ever heard in a game. Doesn't hurt that the voice acting is also fantastic and every line so far has been delivered near perfectly. The gameplay itself is pretty fun and has me wanting to keep playing as well, but the dialogue is so good that it easily overshadows everything else. Definitely recommend it as a good buy for anyone who doesn't absolutely -loathe- rythm games.

Trine's got to be one of my favourite games. Beautiful fairy-tale inspired backgrounds done in 3D and very polished sidescrolling physics based puzzles at the heart of the gameplay, it's an all round fantastic game. Everytime I got a new skill in my first playthrough I thought "surely I can just use this to get past everything, the rest of the game will be boring", but it surprised me by creating more intelligent, complex puzzles each time. Great fun in 2 or 3 player co-op as well.

A really solid first person action game set in the Might&Magic lore. The first 2-3 hours are the best part of the game, but that just means it's all the more fun to play it for a couple of hours once every month or two.
