I love this game, this game is incredible. It will probably be one of my favorite games of all time.

But this game is having issues.

It's way more successful and popular than the devs intended and so they're running into server stability issues for 10x the players they were expecting.
EDIT: The servers are fixed so hypothetically I can play now, yay! but I'm still having issues...

The game's anti-cheat is flagging things that it shouldn't. It has targeted my audio driver, which means that all my computer audio cuts out when I boot the game, meaning I can't really play right now. And its been this way since Feb 12th and is still the case today (Mar 3rd).

I still love this game, but I'm going to tell you to wait a couple weeks, however if you're not running a complicated audio setup like me then you'll probably be fine. Otherwise, wish-list this game and definitely keep an eye on it and come back when the more intrusive bugs have been squashed.

Thanks for the great game Arrowhead! I can't wait until I can get back in, spread some democracy and change this review to a more positive one!

Awesome game. I'm glad I returned to this game to finally finish it after failing to beat it as a youth and then later losing interest another couple times over the years.

A bit of old-game jank, but it holds up well and there's a lot in it that shows the first renditions of mechanics in the later divinity games.

There are a lot of exploits that are laughably easy to pull off though it didn't detract from my experience. And using some of them helped me get through the slog of the final ACT quicker.

The humor and charm of this game is everything I love about Larian and it's comforting to know that they had the charm they do now back in the 2000s.

Performance is great. Rare freezes and crashes but nothing that quick-saving often cant help. Bugs are way more rare than in modern games.

This game is so much fun.

I can be a stealthy rat, sneaking my way around a ship to get just what I want.
I can hack the ship turrets to turn on its inhabitants.
Or rush in guns blazing, killing everyone faster than Neo could.
Or go in with a pair of swords and make sushi rolls out of the lot of them.
Make a breach in the hull to get closer access to my goal...
or just to suck out those poor sods into space.

This game makes me feel like a badass in an action movie and that's a great feeling for a game to give.
I just cant put this game down it's incredibly addicting, even when there are moments that make me shout out WTF.

One of my favorite games.

Unfortunately it's now impossible to play, as the game will crash in between every level and more.

I would love to recommend this game, but I can't as it's not currently a game.

Ironically, this game helped me with my fear of deep murky water.

I normally play games slow and methodically, this was no exception. As I was scared out of my gourd. Now I'm not one for horror games, and I wouldn't call this a horror game, but it had it's moments. I never felt I was in control, but I had ability to learn from my experiences, which changed everything. I always wanted a game where I'd cut myself off completely from all information about it, and then become a hardened expert through my own experiences (kind of like Robin Williams' character from Jumanji). Most games are too complicated for that, or the information supplied in-game is insufficient... not in this game.

I felt like Bear Grylls, taking on the environment and piecing together the story. There were times I definitely felt uncomfortable and wouldn't venture further for a long time. But I eventually found the courage and completed the game, man that felt good.

So a few tips for those with thalassophobia who still want to enjoy the game:

-You can out-swim pretty much everything that would want to hurt you (remember to upgrade your gear), and things will not venture too far out of their territory to harass you.
-Draw a map of where you've been and what you've seen.
-You don't have to venture more than 2 kilometers from your starting location.
-Keep the sea-floor in view, that helped me quite a bit with being out in open water (One exception, but you'll be safe.)
-The sonar upgrades will help with murky water, it will be able to identify threats while keeping out of their range (it won't attract them).
-Save for a burst of courage; "I just saved, so nothing can hurt me."
-There is no time limit, take it slow.

Fantastic game, I loved almost every second of it.

Fun game. I got this on sale and had a good time.

The game relies on generated galaxies and systems/pirates/resources in each system. There are a bunch of ships, a few weapons, and some fun combinations to try. Once you complete a galaxy, you can start a new one with your current ship.

Unfortunately, I hit a wall. Not a difficulty wall though. I had completed one galaxy of around 20 systems, and then moved on to another galaxy keeping my ship and money. I was overpowered in the starting systems, and the mission generator thought it would be a good idea to give me a few very easy, extremely high paying missions and these completely shattered any sort of challenge the game had for me. I quickly got the best ship, and made myself practically invincible. Now I feel that I've seen all that this game has to offer and I no longer have desire to play again.

However, I had some great fun flying around, fighting pirates and trading. I got this game for cheap and I feel I got my money's worth. If you want to have a light space sim experience akin to a singleplayer EVE, pick this up. Be careful with the difficulty settings though, it may make the game way too easy for you.

An awesome game. I got kind of bored in the first section playing alone, but then I played with my friend, and we had a blast. It's challenging in many places, obnoxious in other places, and easy in some places. Though I distinctly remember have fun throughout the whole of the game. The last section before the ending is kind of meh, but the final boss was awesome.

We tried to solve every quest we could, and I think we missed only 1 or 2. We wanted so much more than the game had, but the game had so much to give as well. We had so much fun with this game, but we still wanted more.
BUT HAVE NO FEAR! For there are more difficulty options! And they do more than just beef up the enemies, in fact the don't beef them up at all. It spawns more enemies, with more varieties and strategies that they don't use in the lower difficulties.

A perfect game to play all the way through with a friend. Also, it has mod support as well, so there's that.

I really like this game. It's fun and challenging. Though I feel like I've experienced there's all to experience here. Endless mode is nice for killing time, and the main campaign is an interesting experience that I had to play through twice (you'll need to as well, probably).

A great game for $10 I've gotten my money's worth out of it, and perhaps you will too. I'd recomend watching a few videos of it though, in order to get a feel for how the gameplay works, cause the game isn't for everyone.

I'd buy it again, also fantastic soundtrack.

EDIT: Developer doesn't deserve your money, even if the game is good.

I strongly recomend a controller for this game. It's playable with a keyboard, but not the best.
This game is hard, but oh so rewarding when you manage to pull of a perfect combo.

The deaths are great; die from acid, fire, spikes, tripping, and your dude just says "ow."

A great game to play while listening to music or a podcast, perfect for zoning out while perfecting your coordination and timing.
