This game is genius. The gameplay isn't terribly innovative, the controls were intended for consoles, and some of the characters feel a bit generic upon first encounter, but it is still genius. The story and level design are unique and humorous, so much so that I think I can safely say that no other game has amused me as much in a long time. No two levels feel the same, even though each one is filled with the same usual assortment of platformer collectibles. One is a miniature city inhabited by fish people in which the player is a giant monster, another is an idyllic suburb as imagined (literally) by a paranoid conspiracy theorist. If you have any sense of humor or imagination, this game is probably for you.
Terraria: think Minecraft with an actual exploration element, but less of a creative element. I mean, there's way more to do, but being limited to 2-dimensions kind of inhibits one's ability to build awesome structures. Just a bit.
Just Cause 2: Great if you like 100% open-world sandbox games. Bad if you like your games to have more than a shell of a story. Basically the opposite of recent Final Fantasy games.
