A great way to end off the Momodora series. I really enjoyed my time with it, and it's about 10 hours to 100% with some extra goodies all around. No more items locked behind perfecting bosses, so I'm glad to be able to collect everything in my first run.

Highly recommend, please give the development team the support they deserve.

What a wonderful little game.
Main story took me ~20 hours, and it doesn't overstay its welcome.
A serene, calming atmosphere with a little stress added in to keep it exciting, and I'm a huge fan of marine life so this game was a match in heaven.

Highly recommend this game, and I highly recommend playing with a controller as well. I will absolutely buy DLC on the spot.

If you're still on the edge about buying this game, I cannot recommend it enough. If you enjoy the fast-paced, on-a-dime decision making platforming of games like Mirror's edge, the Source and Quake engines for their movement and feel, and the completionist beat-em-up style of platformers like DustForce, Neon White is absolutely for you.

This game feels incredibly fun to navigate and play, and the constant adaptation required to clear through every stage is addicting. The gunplay is haptic, all of the weapons are phenomenally flexible and creatively encouraging to use, and the music is phenomenal to listen to.

Give this game a play if you can. There's such a rush you can get from it.

As someone who's been trying to get into fighting games, this game was a great one to do it.
Simple, easy to learn but hard to master controls, diverse and fun characters (albeit some frustrating) with unique playstyles, a beautifully crafted world and visual style on top of a killer soundtrack.

I play Anji and made it celestial, so at this point I'm happy where I stand. I'm excited to see where the rest of the DLC goes and how the developers will continue to tune the game. Minor frustrations, but the devs have been relatively transparent, which is nice.

I recommend watching gameplay first before buying, but it being on sale I wouldn't shy away from giving it a shot.

Easy to pick up, fun to learn and play, and a great time passer.
Phenomenal roguelite. Fun, charming, and I'm excited to see Welltaro in Fraymakers.

I tried to play this game again after putting it down for a few years.
And I've got to say, I can see why I wasn't too happy with it when I first tried it out.

PROS:
- Beautiful art style. There's no way to deny that the sprites, animations, backgrounds, and so on are immaculate and should be praised as such.
- An interesting perk + meta scaling system. Although I don't like too much meta upgrades in a rougelite setting, this game offers unique perks that makes strategic building fun and entertaining.
CONS:

- Aiming and movement clunkiness. One of my BIGGEST complaints is the reticle being locked to a tiny radius. It messes with my head so bad and confuses me as to where I'm aiming most of the time. If I could simply free the reticle out of that tiny little circular radius, I would already have a lot more fun with this game. The hook feels wonky too, making movement confusing and unpredictable. If I want to move in a certain direction, I would want to use the hook, right? Well the problem is that the hook feels like a complete toss-up and I find myself often flinging myself into enemies or traps which just ends up infuriating me.

- Poor threat distinction. The art, as I said before, is very pretty, but I can hardly tell what's a threat and what's not. That's kinda important in a game like this, as you're trying to take out enemies and navigate spaces without taking damage yourself. I found myself stumbling into spikes and traps without even realizing they were there.

- Room layouts/"Just why?" factors. There is absolutely no reason enemies should be firing at me before I even enter the room. I've taken way too many hits from stuff like that and it adds up in a run. Besides that, I find that the enemies that spawn and the layouts of the platforms and hooks more often than not lead me to getting cornered. That's an issue when enemies can fire at you offscreen and you're suddenly just left taking even more damage.

Overall, I really gave this game an honest shot. Twice, at that, and I came out both times with the same thoughts. It's pretty and I love the aesthetic, but this is a game I'd much rather just watch than play myself which is an absolute shame. I know this game is relatively old news now, but maybe some QOL updates would bring me back to it.

If you're new to deckbuilders, I'm not sure if this game will be the BEST start. However! That said, this is an extremely enjoyable experience, and is a great complement to my love for Slay the Spire.

This game is absolutely amazing. I played it back when it was a game jam game a few years ago, and I'm so happy to see that it's evolved into an amazing evolution of what made the original so great. Definitely worth the money to support this game and its amazing team.
