Just a heads up: if you're going to play any of this trilogy you need to play all three, and in order. Okay. Sands of Time is an absolute gem of a game and it is by far the best of the trilogy overall. The characters are memorable, the story is novel, if not truly unique. The gameplay is elegant and flowing, and the eponymous Sands of Time fits perfectly into it. Among other things the Sands allow you to rewind up to ten seconds to retry a jump you missed or combat you messed up, which is both constantly handy and occasionally hilarious. However, the puzzles can get frustrating, and the other games improve vastly on the combat and platforming.

I really liked the game, but I couldn't find the cake. Okay, seriously now. This is a short but thoroughly entertaining game, and if you don't enjoy it, go submit yourself to scientific testing because you're obviously a new breed of human.

This one expands so much over the original it honestly makes the first game look like a demo. It's an open world beat-em-up at heart (despite the brilliant stealth), the forced-detective segments can easily get annoying, the story is a bit eclectic at best, and you need a controller or gaming pad rather than a keyboard for the best experience, but that's all minor crap on my part. B:AC is a brilliant game that makes you sweat and bleed and cry, but at the same time, if I had a dollar for every time it made me feel like the strongets, smartest, most cunning bastard on the planet, I’d probably be Bruce Wayne.
