A Philosophising Raptor

Phil

United States

Yellow, Philosoraptor here (And for those who honest to goodness can't pronounce that [may God help you], Phil works just as well).

Also currently #10 in the Rankings for Sonic Generations' Green Hill Zone Act 1, with a time of 42.46 seconds. (360)

Also TF2 is quite possibly the only game that gets me so frustrated. Not sure why this is, but it's the truth.

Also, if you were expecting me to blurb out some random, philosophical magic about how our minds are like the Garden of Eden only to be plauged by the outside ideals of Modern Society, then you've come to see the wrong raptor. He lives two houses down from me. I only picked this name because my name is Phil.

Proud Owner of an "Unusual Hotrod" in Team Fortress 2.

I also stream games from time to time as well. If you're interested in watching, let me know!

Welcome to HaLs Playground!

HaLs Playground was founded by Hutch and BlueMood (aka Lisa) in 2008 with the support of many longtime friends who are gamers. Our core user base still consists of many original players in addition to those we have added along the way. Since our formation, we have gained new games and friends but TF2 remains our base game. HaLs Playground encourages a fun and social environment for gameplay. It's all about having fun!

HaLs Playground is NOT a clan but a Community of people who enjoy playing games online with friends. WE DO NOT ENDORSE GRIEFING, HACKING, or HARASSMENT of other players in any way, shape or form.

Games recommended by Philosoraptor _

Story is compelling, music is overall beautiful to listen to, land is vast and full of many places that you can visit. Overall, I was worried that this game wasn't going to appeal to me, since I had never played an Elder Scrolls game before. However, I see now that this game speaks to my very desires, and allows me to create an adventure like no other. Skyrim is definitely well worth the money in my opinion. While there are small tidbits in the game that need improving, such as the interface, this game certainly has more pros than cons, and I suspect that I'll be playing this game for quite some time.

Being a long time Sonic fan, I've been through a whole lot of what this franchise had to offer. Some of it was poor, some fairly decent at the least. I can say with safety that this game is simply great. Great sense of speed, nice platforming, a skill system to keep changing the game, and hours of exploring the stages and collectables make this an overall solid game. My only recommendation is that you buy this game for a console, if you know your PC can't handle it. It's not a game which demands a whole lot of graphic capabilities, but if you know that you'll enjoy the quality of the game overall on a system it was made for, then the additional 30 bucks is well worth it. Overall, very great, solid game, and I'm hoping this is a true step in the right direction for this franchise.

Bastion is an amazing game, I'm only a couple of hours into it, and already the magic of it all has left me mesmerized. This is your typical isometric view beat-'em-up sort of game, but it also adds RPG elements to the game as well, different weapons to choose from, creating even better weapons with materials found, and leveling up. The game also includes a variety of 'skills', which bring out even more potential in your weaponry or allow you to do a variety of actions. And while the game is stunning and the enemies are well thought out, the dynamic narration is what holds this game together perfectly. The story is entirely narrated by one man, and what he says depends entirely on your actions. You break stuff, he'll comment on it, you grab an important item, he'll mention it and probably take it back to your base. Even the conversation he has with others is narrated. Supergiant Games is well welcomed to the gaming world, and Bastion is well welcomed in my library!
