The last and final chapter in the van helsing saga. As a standalone game, if you arent a fan of this particular series and you havent played or at least checked the previous games this is a title i wouldnt recommend to you. Storywise the game picks up after the events of the second game and pits you against the diabolical prisoner seven. During this final chapter you will discover the history of borgovia itself, the background of your beloved Katarina and you will learn more about your familys history. Gameplay wise the game formula doesnt change much. You and your faithful ghost companion are pited against horde of monsters and fight to the death(literally).

The good stuff of van helsing 3:

1. Same feeling and game style like the previous titles
2. Great graphics and awesome storytelling
3. Great new classes and cool options to customize your char
4. Tons of funny easter eggs
5. Great tower defence arenas and awesome boss fights
6. Lots of gore and grimm jokes made by your ghostly companion

The bad stuff:

1. Game is really short (15 hours of gameplay time)
2. New class system doesnt expand above the previous class system of the other 2 games, so basically your saves are pretty much worthless
3. Lair missions are too few and easy
4. Final boss was disappointingly easy.
5. Multiplayer is pretty much dead due to final cut being out.

As a fan of the series and a casual player i really enjoyed this title. I learned how the story ends and i thorougly enjoyed the new classes. If you have played the last 2 games buy it and get the final cut as well. If not then by all means stay away. Its not worth your money or your time. Better buy the final cut edition.
