If you're looking for something a bit out of the ordinary then you might want to check out Super Monday Night Combat, it's a MOBA game mixed with a 3rd person shooter and it works surprisingly well.
The game looks good, has a great sense of humor, and the controls are responsive and easy to learn. The gameplay mainly centers around killing bots on a lane to escort your bots to turrets and eventually the opposite team's moneyball. Fairly straightforward, but it takes a few rounds to learn how things work. A lot of playable characters so there's sure to be someone who fits your playstyle, and they're adding more all the time.
If you feel like trying something new, this is for you. Just be sure to play with some friends.
It may not be the best Sonic game out there, but for $10 it's not a bad deal. If you're unsure about getting it just wait for a sale.
The physics take some getting used to and the music is hit-and-miss, but the gameplay is fairly fun. Get it for Episode Metal if for nothing else.
Thanks to the Taxman and his great retro engine you can now play this classic gem in widescreen HD.
Sonic CD is one of those hidden gems that generally people tend to forget, but it's worth the money. Being able to play as Tails and the achievements are a nice touch and definitely the best version you can buy, and for $5 it's a steal. Tons of enjoyment, tons of replayability and a great waste of time.
Bonus stages are hard as nails though, that can be taken as a good thing or a bad thing, it's up to you.
