BANZAI! LONG LIVE THE YAMATO
Long Live the great and powerful Yamato!
Kazuki Egawa
The Yamato follow the “way”, not simply the way of heaven and earth, but the way of the “kami”. The Land of Wa, the Great Yamato, has long been the centre of East Asia and has followed the ancient way of the these great Kami who have ruled this land since the first emperor Jimmu in 660 B.C. born of the great sun goddess Amaterasu. The Great Amaterasu was born of the kami Izunami and Izunagi and has protected the people and shined her glorious light on the holy land of Yamato for over 2500 years. However, the people of Yamato have long been corrupted by the doctrines and creeds of foreign lands starting with the importation of Buddhism by Prince Shotoku. Since the establishment of the Nara capital in 710, my people and way have been in constant decline. Buddhism has made the Yamato stupid, but the evilest of doctrines are the Confucian classics that teach people logic and rationality which downplays any roll the great Kami may play. Not only this, but it also teaches the Yamato people to be cunning and sinister. In ancient times the Yamato people naturally and spontaneously followed the way of the Kami way (神道), but now with the importation of esoteric and lavish Buddhism and Confucian doctrines my people have all but forgotten our own ancient Way and accomplishments like the Manyoshu and Kojiki. Accomplisments that accurately depict the way of the gods, and the ancient paradise in which the Yamato had once lived.
An interesting hybrid of RPG and FPS gameplay, put together with a design like no other. It's terribly addictive, and I want more.
