Dragon Age: Origins is probably the best RPG I've ever seen. Control is extremely precise, the story is deep, the world is open, and unlike it's unfortunate successor DA2, DA:O does not suffer from consolitis. If you like RPGs, play this one.

This is an immersive and well thought out game, with loads of detail added in out of the way places to answer all the questions you might have, without forcing your hand if you don't care. If you enjoyed Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, you'll love this game. The feel is amazingly similar, but without all those frustrating bugs.

Simple game, simple pleasures. While it doesn't have the depth of a big strategy game or anything, it's quite easy to burn time in stretches of a few hours flying around burning crops, terrorizing villiages, kidnapping princesses, and hoarding loot. Definitely worth picking up on sale, and has a fun multiplayer component with three different modes. All it needs is more maps.
