I'm going to simplify this review since it's been way too long in the past. This review has been edited several times as the game has changed.
It's been a few years since I last played this game, and before I did not recommend this game because of its incredibly frustrating grind, pay-to-win mechanics of the cash shop, and low quality features that made the game a chore to work through.
Now I am very mixed about it.
Let's go through bullet points.
  • The old missions/raids had a revamp around 2017 that made them incredibly simple and straightforward. Bosses have less health, some enemies have been outright removed, and many of the side quest dungeons are no longer necessary. The boss AI has been somewhat modified too, as they are far less aggressive than they used to be.
  • A majority, if not all, of your experience is going to come from the main story quests. They give far more experience than they did in the past, thus making side quests pointless.
  • A story progression mode button appears at the dock's dungeon map, allowing you to auto-skip to the next mission without having to walk around town. The only time it will stop you from continuously going through dungeons is if you are about to do a raid. A small addition to this is that NPC dialogue has an auto-skip button too, so you can get right back to the action in less than a minute.
  • Adding to the previous point, there is also a quick-battle menu bound to a hotkey, which you can use anywhere to quickly jump into any mission of your choosing.
  • Regular missions now have daily departure limits of 5. You can increase this temporarily if you buy/obtain departure licenses.
  • The game now has progression rewards, providing you with decent equipment for your level, a lot of experience for clearing specific story quests, and a decent amount of AP for your skills.
  • Early game crafting has been removed for the most part. Seasons 1-2 gear is now given in the form of drops from enemies/bosses instead of having to craft them. Also, enemy/boss materials have been condensed down to "Additives" which are universal for expertise crafting. The only actual materials that drop from early game enemies are: Ores, Cloth, Leather, Ergs, Remnants, and Powders. Everything else is additives.
  • Season 2 areas have been changed into instance-based linear dungeons now instead of multiple areas, reducing the amount of time needed to wander through these sections.
  • Though I haven't joined a guild yet, there seems to be a lot more incentives for joining guilds now. Proper rewards, guild dungeons, etc.
  • Vindictus is now more keen on providing some cash shop items, such as enhancement and enchantment protection runes. There isn't as much of an incentive to use real world money when you can, rather easily, obtain these items.
  • Multi-processing seems to have been improved. Raids run rather smoothly now.

I don't have too many grievances, beyond the lack of overall player counts and early game being way too easy. Nexon still tries to incentivize purchasing NX but that's to be expected. If you're looking for some entertaining combat, Vindictus has become rather solid.

I like reviews from players who are very seasoned with a game, and I'm gonna mosh on past this one unless some changes come to it, as every review I have scrolled past so far has been a negative one.

Cheers!

I still play the game because I like the game at its core. The gameplay style is unique to most of the current MMOs that follow a specific pattern, the visuals and animations are great, and the story is at least decent. Never did I say I was going to just give up on Vindictus just because I found its shell to be disheartening.
I would have considered your arguments more if you did not generalize my entire experience on a single error of my own cause. I never broke any of my weapons, I've never even gotten far enough in the enhancement system to break them. Why make your entire argument if you just focus on one small detail that clearly was the cause of my problems?

Saying how most MMOs have these concepts does not make Vindictus suddenly clear of blame. Once-a-day raids with items that could have a 1/100 chance of dropping does not a good grind make. With the seals of bravery I would have considered dropping the idea, if it weren't for the ultra rare items requiring what could be weeks of farming them up.
If you're a casual, I would consider this situation even worse. You want to try the new raids, but want to be stronger. How? All the stronger gear takes hours or weeks to farm for due to poor drop rates and difficulty scale.
I've never played WoW but I have played MMOs before. In my experience, I have never seen a more toxic community in any other MMO.

Most games are grindfest to get endgame items. All 60 gear is easiliy acessable 70 -80 is where it becomes harder to gear but thats the point. If you didnt have to grind for gear what would be the point of playing? You can level from 1-80 in a week being a newer player maybe 2 if you play often ofcouse this can vary if you're a casual who only plays a few hours a week it may take a month.

I can't understand complaing about the playbase. Have you ever played an mmo before ? lawl of cousre theres people that are toxic not a single game has a perfect community for godsakes have you ever played wow ?

As for the insane requirments certain people put on boats. Well every game has elitists.
WoW with gearscore d3 with damage and many more. This wont prevent you from finding a party.

I can't understand someone giving a bad review to a game they still play. It's almost like you just nerd raged one day because your weapon broke from enhancing or enchanting.

Never said I hate it. It's just a lot of concepts are really disheartening to players and the community can be pretty toxic. People can continue to keep playing, but I'm not recommending it.

Glad I read this before downloading. I've been looking for an MMO that doesn't use the same gameplay as WoW. So far I've found very few MMO's out there that don't try to copy each other, and I was hoping Global Agenda would be the end to my search.

But once I started playing it I quickly found out the game basically forces you into grindfests just to get what you need. Why can't people just make a damn decent MMO these days?

Nexon is a publisher, so that's what they do. They take a game and try to make money off it. Not only that, they restrict the developers' abilities with the game and leave bugs and issues unfixed.

I and a whole bunch of family and friends used to play a Free MMO waay back in the day. But about a year ago it was bought by Nexon, and now it is a horrible waste of time. They changed everything and made it a horrible experence. So many new bugs its unbelievable!
