If you are a big combat sim buff, like I am, this is one of the best games you could get.
IL-2 1946 combines content from several past IL-2 iterations together into one, meaning you'll be able to fly everything from the German Bf-109 to the British Spitfire, from the American B17 bomber to the Japanese Zero. The flight modelling is quite accurate, and it takes a good and steady hand to fly well.
The difficulty can be scaled to your tastes, letting you play it like a arcade game or a full-on simulator.
Flight sims are a bit of a niche market. If you like flight sims, you'll do yourself a favor and get this game. If you don't like flight sims, you're not missing anything you'd enjoy.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution executes a story of conspiracies and secrets as well as the original, while introducing gameplay that is both tight and enjoyable.
The roleplaying elements of Human Revolution adds some depth to the game, and the several different ways you can approach a situation brings good replay value.
Probably the only glaring problem with the game are the boss fights. In most cases, I would say to not let the boss fights affect your enjoyment of the game, but I can't. Very likely, you will get incredibly frustrated with the bosses, and it does suck some of the fun of the game.
However, Deus Ex: Human Revolution does many other things right. The persuasion scenes are where this game shines, and it may very well be worth getting the game just to see them.
Human Revolution is a game that, while it has some very rough spots, is still an enjoyable game with a rich story and gameplay that will entertain both FPS and RPG gamers alike.
Metro 2033 is the post-apocalyptic game that you always hoped would be made.
Everything within the game contributes to the atmosphere of an annihilated world. From your decrypted weapons to the run down metro tunnels, from the people eking out existence in a cruel world to the snow covered, irradiated surface, all the elements come together perfectly.
What's even more amazing is the detail they put to the world. People have conversations, the metro tunnels show years of decay, and even the makeshift weapons are well-thought out.
The combat mechanics are well done, being very upbeat and exhilarating. There are a wide range of weaponry, from shotguns to rifles and even pneumatic weaponry. As mentioned earlier, every one of them is modeled with great detail.
Metro 2033 is a great addition to those who love post-apocalyptic stories. It's definitely a world that you would want to explore over and over again.
