Early Access Review
I find it hard to reccomend games that are in Early Access. Many are usually more or less incomplete games, so Early Access, for many games, is essentially an excuse for Beta testing without having to pay anyone. However, there are some games that are a full, complete game even in early access, and provide new and interesting content untill the developers feel it's ready to fully release. Rodina is NOT one of these games. So the question is, why do I reccomend it so much?

The answer is simple: Rodina is a very open, very easty-to-play, and very fun game, and will one day be something amazing.

As it stands, the world is very baron and empty, with only a few game mechanics involved, which includes flying around, collecting things on the surface of planets and asteriods and flying. I wouldn't callt his a complete game at all. However, what is in there are plots with a dark sense of humour, as well as what is so far an interesting main narritive which, althought it can be hard to follow at times, keeps you wanting to find more things.

But easily the main reason i'd reccomend this game is atmospheare. This game has such an immense sense of scale, that coming right up to the sun and seeing its size actually made me feel ill it looked that big. And the flying mechanics are absolutely great too. And planets are planet-sized. You could fit the GTA5 map on the smallest plannet dozens of times over with ease. Each planet has a unique feel to it and all are worth exploreing, as long as you can get past the enemies.

This is where we reach the weakest part of the game: the combat. I am really dissapointed too, because this is finally a game that makes me feel like i'm flying around in 3-D space without having to learn too many complex controls and yet the combat system is so broken. Perhaps I am simply bad at the game, but the enemies take way too long to die, and the extra weapons you find on the ground are very limited and either don't add a whole lot or are pretty much required to stand even a chance at beating them.

But again, this is where I still want to keep reccomending the game. I know for a fact that the combat system is going to be improved eventually, and I am sure that it'll be better and more diverse. I have a lot of faith in this game and I would at least reccomend getting the free demo, to see if it's the sort of game you'd like.

In conclusion, while most Early Access games are a game which feels like a tech demo, this Early Access game is basically a tech demo which feels like a game. Pick it up now, because over time I feel that this game will start getting really good, and the price may go up.
