It plays a lot like Nazi zombies mixed in with some Left 4 Dead and a bit of team fortress thrown together. You start with selecting your class ranging from a sharpshooter to a rifleman like commando to a pyromaniac to the medic. You are then thrown into a hoard of zombie like creatures all of who want you dead, so you (and hopefully your team) have to gun all of them down, after you gun down a wave you will be given a short break where you can visit a shop and purchase weapons with the euros you earned. Then you get right back to killing. The game offers a small part RPG at first any class you choose will be rather on the weak side but as you level up that class you get better and better at it they will give you perks for that specific class, for example the medic gets to start with armor and can heal people faster, the sharpshooter doesn't have to deal with recoil as much and gets discounts on accuracy based weapons. Your class doesn't have to completely define you though as a medic I still use the occasional M4 assault rifle and as a pyro I can still use shotguns everyone could do everything but having a team of specialists is always better than a team of jack of all trades. The workshop gives you a plethora of extra maps and mutators to change the game and with many more hidden around the internet. This game is fantastic to play with friends and is a blast to play honestly just get the game think about the money it costs later.

Great game the roguelike elements such as permadeath randomly generated areas and upgrades are awesome and mix well with the top down shooting, watch as you take a poor abused isaac (or other religous characters such as eve) and turn them from a cry baby to a pyscho demon looking thing, the games upgrades are both great and grotesque the health upgrades are acquired thourgh some rather painful looking injuries (for example I found a coat hanger in one of my playthroughs and Isaac sticks it through his head) you also upgrade regular stats such as attack power, speed, and other the average stuff, but you can also gain some unique upgrades such as unleashing a virus on your body which will poison your enemies if they hit you. overall a fun game make sure you commit when you start as there is no save system also if you are an easily disturbed person this may be a game to avoid honestly your a small child thrown into a tourtous dungeon full of Isaacs other smaller slightly more demonic brothers and sisters with the blood and satanics to boot (and yes Isaac is in fact naked apparently clothes are a sin) If you can get past that though you are in for a fun/brutal rogue expierence after about 15 games I still have not beaten the game once but it is still fun just as fun each time I die.

Never buy a Bethesda game on consoles, I learned that the hard way, on PC the experience is so much better, for one there is mods and lots of them. some are small but there are some big game changing mods, one mod adds a bit of borderlands into your fallout game with more than 200 different guns, one mod adds more people that will travel across the world, one mod even transforms the capital wasteland into a lush forest with green grass growing across the land. The game along with mods just feels better I kind of lost interest in the game on consoles but something about the PC version kept me too it, and I'm glad it did Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games of all time now thanks to sticking to it. Bethesda made quite the masterpiece here and the best way to experience it is on Computer

Great game, I originally had it on Xbox and while it was good, PC version is just flat out superior in every way. Mods add new guns, character skins (which is good I don't care for the new characters that much), even campaigns (a lot of them add new game play ideas and have the quality of the campaigns Valve makes). The game uses the source engine so it'll run well on most computers, and last and probably best reason its superior on PC is free add-ons (and the DLC on the Xbox costs about 21 dollars alone) really it is cheaper on the PC, with better graphics, modding, and more, if you have any thoughts about buying the Xbox version ignore them and just get it on PC you'll thank yourself later.

Honestly what game lets you dive from planes wearing a corndog suit and then go around and beat people with a gigantic purple dildo this game honestly can't take anything seriously and that is what's so great about it

I originally played this on consoles and after playing this on pc I think I won't make that mistake again Fallout on pc just feels better its not just the mods, or improved lighting and textures, or new areas, companions, weapon collections, underground hideouts, or even new battlefields fought on by npcs. No the pc just plays this game better than the consoles will ever be able to.

I spent almost a hundred hours playing just a single mod and almost more playing the original game the gameplay is fun and innovative you actually feel your power growing as your army gets larger and larger and you ean more and more land and you can go at factions however you want will you join one side of the war or will you start your own faction and become the overlord of the world, rig leaderships and make sure your man becomes the leader. Even if you hate medieval bow and sword games no problems there are some excellant mods that bring in muskets and pistols and even a mod that brings in the universe of star wars with blasters and lightsabers included. One of the game's few downfalls is in the graphics they are quite dated and could be touched up with a better engine however the game itself is amazing and the amount of modding that goes into the game turns it into an amazingly different game.

Awesome game the updates really gave the game a lot more things to fight, collect and build. In no way do I feel like I am playing a minecraft ripoff this game pulls itself away from that by putting more importance on combat, npcs (come on minecraft help your poor ugly npcs,) and dungeons. The 2d aspect really does give this game a really different perspective on minecraft as now you have to put walls down instead of just continuing to put random blocks down
