DoD:S just does deserve better!

We could all agree that Day of defeat 1.3 was a masterwork! When Day of Defeat: Source got released we hoped it would be similar to the classic one, but with improved graphics and sound quality.

Sadly it did not turn out to be like the original 1.3 and many of the players were badly disappointed.

For a long, long time we, dod lovers, have now been waiting for an update that would improve our favorite game Day of Defeat (Source) and make it more like it used to be.
Now the update is finally here, we figure out that many things have changed nobody has ever asked for.

This group consists of players that want dods to remain dods, and not to turn into TF2. TF2 is a game that has become a great success, but dods could become an even greater success if it has its own unique formula: The original capture the flag gameplay, combined with two different teams with several different classes and some interesting maps on various WWII scenes.

All dod:s still needed was improvement of the CoF, said many of us. That combined with the addition of a few new maps once in a while would make dod:s the perfect game again, for many of us!

DDB's wishlist:

- Keep the current recoil of all of the classes!
- Don't add these TF2 features!
- Make dod_salerno an official map, but keep it how it used to be!
- Keep the movement to how it used to be! *done*
- Improve the CoF! *done*
- Consider adding some maps. Think of making current proper custom maps official, remaking classic dod maps or creating brand new one's!
- Lots and lots and lots and lots of advertising as soon as the update will be released!
