~A story that I created for half life~
In a prison camp owned by the Combine there were many Rebel POW's. (prisoners of war, for those of you who don't know what the term is) The person in charge of this camp was known General Mike Tarkin,he was a very crual man and when prisonors did'nt do what they were told, he would make them kneel down and shoot them point blank in the head with a 44.magnum revovler named "Maria" and have there body tossed into a furnace so he would'nt have to walk by dead bodies in his camp now and then. One day there was a new POW and he did'nt follow the rules at all, even when it was time for him to die he would'nt even kneel down, so Mike told the combine guards to force the prisonor down on the ground and Tarkin shot him. When the guards were about to leave the prisoner sat up again, and Tarkin shot him once again. The Guards and Tarkin were baffled, they watched the prisoner closely and nothing happend. The other Prisoners were watching also, and the camp was very silent, finnaly Tarkin Issued an order for the guards not to throw the body in the furnace, but to chain blocks to the body's feet and throw it into the deepest part of the lake. Several weeks passed by when one day Tarkin heard other prisoners talking about "The drowned man" so Tarkin told the guards to check on the body again, this time the chains were broken and his body was floating in the lifelessly in the water. They pulled his body out of the water and his skin was partially green, Tarkin shot him in the head 3 times and the prisoner's skull cracked, and they threw his body back into the lake and his body sunk down into the darkness of the lake. That night the other officers heard a horrifying scream coming from Tarkin's dorm room. When they ran in to check on him, he was dead lying over the side of his bed with his eyes wide open in fear. Something scared this man into a heart attack and every prisoner near his dorm in his or her cell were executed on sight. Ever since then the officers and inmates of that camp have talked about the story of "The Drowned man" and every night they hear someone moaning the name "Tarkin" and hearing chains being dragged across the concrete floor
