October 2007 Event!
Over the last few months we've been putting together a kick-ass LAN for you all, and now we've got the details finalised - it's time to give up the goods...
Our next event is being held on the 13th and 14th of October at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre!
The event has a capacity for 210 gamers, and will be host to an awesome roundup of competitions: Unreal Tournament 2004; Trackmania Nations; Command & Conquer 3; Quake 3; FEAR Combat; and Counter-Strike Source. As always, we'll be running non-tournament servers for these games and more throughout the event!
Additionally, we'll be holding two Console Tournaments over the weekend - and when the consoles aren't in use, feel free to play on our massive plasma screens in the gamer's lounge, where you can kick back and well... lounge around!
To top it all off, we'll be dimming the lights and cranking up the projector onto the PCEC walls again - along with the long-awaited return of the MP3 Voting system, means you can game in luxury and style!
Attending this event won't cost you an arm and a leg either, the entire event will only set you back $35. Registrations open Sunday the 16th September (tomorrow), but please remember that due to the expected large demand for this event - you will need to prepay to guarantee your seat!
Prepaid patrons will be allowed entry from 10AM (general admission from 11AM), and will benefit from being able to be guaranteed seating alongside their team/clan mates who also prepay! A floorplan of the LAN is available from our website.
Included in your ticket price is an electrically tested and tagged lead suitable for plugging into two IEC 'kettle' plug devices, so no need to worry about organising that in advance. We will also be doing the usual pizza runs and the centre will run a kiosk throughout the event!
For those of you who want to park at the convention centre, we're currently working out a deal with the City of Perth for heavily discounted parking, including pass-outs (so you can come and go on the same ticket), and we'll have confirmed details available in the next week!
Also coming up is a full announcement of the competition and door prizes for the event, once we've finalised details for these with our sponsors - you'll be the first to know.
