ToonHUD on Mac
*started a new thread*

ToonHUD should now work on Mac as well. Only with TF2 fonts and crosshairs do not work though.

Let me know if there's any problems.

Ok so I don't know how to script in tf2 so I don't know what variables to edit in the files. Here are my questions:

1) Fonts are broken. A lot of my fonts are cut off(scoreboard, round timer, round win). Are those meant to be like that?

2) Uh no sticky charge meter?

3) Why is the "Start Playing" section so smushed? Can't I change it back to normal?

All help is appreciated! I hope your project on making an updater for all systems goes well! It'll make stuff a lot easier for us few mac users :P.

EDIT: Here are some screenshots so you can see what I am talking about: http://imgur.com/a/glrEH#0

Same. I changed it in windows with the toonhud updater and now mine is the big meter at the bottom right.

Steps for changing it to the big meter:

1) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\toonhud\resource\ui and find the file HudDemomanCharge.res.

2) Copy the entire text in the box: http://pastebin.com/FPC24P03 (This is my file which I'm assuming changes the meter style given the file name.)

3) Paste all of it into your HudDemomanCharge.res folder.

That should fix it! Let me know if it works.

toonhud/scripts/hudlayout.res
"Transparent", visible 1, enabled 1

And type "exec enable_transparency" to console, or add it to your autoexec.cfg

I tried this and my HUD got jumbled up. Any solution to this?

Empty your custom folder and verify the integrity of game cache[toonhud.com].

Hey, griever, I have tried to install toothed like 5 times, doing different things, but I think I am just doing it wrong. (Note: even if I don't set up the overrides, the hud doesn't work, and it just stays default.) My custom folder is empty other than toonhud. Here is a link to what it looks like now: http://imgur.com/BKV6hc2 (Also, I think the path to the folder is correct.)

Well you have installed overrides wrong at least. You move the content of the override folder to the toonhud folder. Like this[toonhud.com]

But the hud should work if you have the correct path, which is

~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/custom/toonhud

Thanks! Turns out that I had to re-install steam to get the right directory, because they were lost somewhere. I am currently trying to move the content of the folder into the toonhud folder. I am installing overrides. Just to make sure, fonts don't work right? (I'd like the TF2 font.) Anyways, thanks for answering. Feels great to have someone who actually cares about what they make :) I'll keep you updated if it works. (Also, the health bar crosses for overheal and non-overheal have the same name. Can't put two without one asking to replace the other.)

Didn't work :\
