TheModem.net started in 2012 with Fox and Railmoth as founding members after we left positions in a toxic community. Our goal was to create a chill, laid-back community where satire is valued more than being a top-tier player. This community proves that you don't need to choke out your members with stupid rules and helicopter admins while still keeping the numerous TheModem.net game servers fun for everyone involved.

We are a conglomerate of gamers, techies, sysmins, parents, and content creators. We might not be large, but we make up for it by having an engaging, tightly knit community with the highest concentration of memers west of Calgary.

We mostly use Steam for recruitment purposes. Most of our community is based on our forums and Discord. Most of us play on PC, but a lot of us also own consoles (Playstation and Xbox) and tablets (Apple and Android). Regardless of your platform, you can find a group of people to game and shoot the shit with.

We are also known for our amazing giveaways, which are only available to registered members of our Discord server. Past giveaways in the past 4 years of running TheModem.net have included TF2 items worth around $5 each, TF2 keys, games (Garry's Mod and a few others), and donation credit for our game servers.
