TF2Tags: You're Eternal Reward

So, it’s been a month (and a third) since we launched the site on June 1st. The reception is honestly otherworldly. I started this revival with my brother as more of a pastime, to get closer as family and have something fun to do. But mate, did it escalate. I did NOT expect so many new people in this community. Almost 4000 tags and over 200 individual members. Those numbers baffle me, really. I’m legitimately thankful to each and one of you for finding this niche website worthy of your time and brain power. We’ve had some bumps, like the 4chan raid on the first day (though the bumpiness of that came from me neglecting to tell the admins important things because I was away studying for my finals, whoops), but even then we’ve been doing incredibly well. Again, thank you all, and I earnestly hope you continue using this site as we add more features to it and make it so much greater than the original TF2Tags could ever hope to become.

And with that noted, it saddens me greatly that I must indefinitely depart with this community. No, I don’t have cancer, and no, I haven’t been outed as a sexual predator yet. I live in Estonia, which has mandatory conscription, which starts for me on the 15th. Starting then I’ll be nigh unavailable for 11 months. Until my return I appoint my right hand man Walumancer as the head admin (don’t be jealous Arthur you have a job to focus on). I will come back and regain my, uh, throne, but until then please forward your worries and such to Walu or any other admin.

It’s been an incredible month (and a third) for me, and I’ll miss this place greatly. I bid you all farewell until my unfortunately inevitable return. Keep having fun tagging mates.
