We are group of gamers who believe in applying the warrior code of "Bushido" in gaming.

Doing everything it takes to win without cheating.
We conduct ourselves with honor.
We never quit no matter the odds.
We never anticipate the outcome
We accept a legitimate defeat, without making excuses.
We have fun but not at the expense of others.

Like the 47 ronin of old. We are loyal to each other.

Why Team Ronin Online?

From 91-94 I had the privlege of playing with the most cohesive group of paintball players I ever met (Team Ronin Hawaii). In April of 2009 myself and my friends found ourselves needing a banner to rally under for the purposes of online pc gaming. Knowing what we stood for "Ronin" seemed to be best suited for us.

After having a discussion with my good friend, and former wingman, Dean "usagi" Sarahina and childhood friend Russ “GI2M0” Manley. It was decided to name this group as "Team Ronin Online". Adding "Online" is a way of differentiating us from our paintball brethren and respecting the many other teams under the “ronin” banner.

Thank you for reading. See you in game,

Wes “The Shockman” Shockley

HTPC REPAIR UPDATE
Just got the EVGA 730i & 8400GS to fix the HTPC from TigerDirect. I decided I *DID NOT* want to even touch my gaming rig - running MW2 fine right now & didn't want to jeopardize that. (I actually found better prices @ TD on CyberMonday than NewEgg!!!) Taking out the old components. While removing the old 8400GS I noticed that the fan had detached from the GPU... the plastic retaining posts MELTED!!! I fried that fracker GOOD!

Needless to say - I'm going to Frys to get more ArcticSilver 5 thermal paste - I'll be re-doing the fans and heat sinks on the mobo & grfx card before install... this new HTPC hardware config should run cooler without as many peripheral cards needed. (The 730i has everything onboard - even HDMI... except for FireWire - which I'm currently not even using unless I can figure out how to control my FiOS cable box from the HTPC over FW)

Lots to do this weekend!!! Hope to get online for a little MW2 break mid-afternoon!

Quick Q... The grfx card on my HTPC died so I think I'm going to cannibalize one of my 2 8800 GTS 640mb for the HTPC, meaning I need to get another card for the gaming rig. Should I get th 9800 GT 1024mb or 9800 GTX 512mb for the gaming rig to replace the SLI'd 8800s?

...I am thinking that since I will be back in a single-card mode I will probably need the 1024mb on the 9800GT, right? Or could I fly with the better performance of the GTX with only 512mb VRAM?

Thoughts? I am looking to execute TONITE - before the end of the cyber monday sales...

Spanks!
Mick
