1$ = 1€ LITERALLY
Not sure if this is good or bad but we're currently at
1 Euro equals 1.05 US Dollar

Finally we got our wishes granted. Just not the way we wanted it...

Now the games are cheaper but all imports (hardware for example) its more expensive, so definitely this is not good...I want to buy a new PC, now the price is around +20% for some hardware, so I waste time and money for wait and not buy few months ago

Yeah so, what is the point of this group now anyway?

we just wait the moment when the $ go down like a fall (and will be)

Funnily enough, now that USD key selling sites are becoming not an option, the cheapest way to get day 1 PC games is... to buy retail copies. GTAV PC preorders have been €50 in Finland for a while versus €60 on Steam. Ubisoft's games (FC4, ACU) last fall launched at €45 retail versus Steam's €60.

Although dollars are becoming euros, Steam is still overpriced compared to retail in Europe.

I always wondered why... for years I've been buying retail PS3 games in the UK(free shipping from zavvi and such), I'm from Croatia they're so incredibly cheap compared to other EU states, PSN store of any sites that sell them graymarketish...

Will they raise prices in EU now because of exchange rates?

Meanwhile in Brazil $1 = R$ 3,25, but who cares? We did have a price increase last year.

This was jsut the case for a month. ATM 1€ ~ 1.13$
Therefore a 49.99$ game should be ~44€. And after Greece is kicked out of the € it will climb again.

You all do understand that USD value didn't rise? Euro going down 20% was planned by the EU. Printed trillions (or billions) of euros deliberately to attract new investors (mainly Americans jumping in joy that their USD means something more in Europe) to jump in with us in business.

I think its the Greece economy going down hill not the the deliberately printed Euros.

It is the printed Euros, that's how inflation works. Greece economy has been trashed by the EU since 2010 or something and it was already broken before that. It's not the only problem.

You must be mentally retarded to think that kicking out Greece will help the EU at all. If any country from inside the european trading zone gets kicked out the rest is just like an avalanche, everything will roll into economic hell. so please educate yourself before trashtalking

Technically it would be a good thing if the Euro overall vanished, though. The countries need their own currency and financial sovereignty. The EU is strangling it.
