navigate to your savegame folder (C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame_storage\am9uXw==\2) back up everything in there then clean it out and try each save one at a time. Also in the history folder you can remove the old extension and try those. It helped me get back my pec points before.
No worries. I started over from 3rd Echelon HQ so I could at least pick up the Sonar Goggles.

Many thanks for that ff7! I just redeemed the code and my P.E.C. stats & equipment were unaffected. I'm guessing it glitched out on your end or something.
GameSpot was giving away some sort of Splinter Cell: Conviction DLC called Co-Op 3rd Echelon in 2010. I signed up and got a code this week but it zeroed out all my P.E.C. Challenges and equipment upgrades. YMMV? http://www.gamespot.com/event/codes/splintercellconviction-pc/
