This is the group for Rock, Paper Shotgun members to play the epic indie shooter/strategy hybrid, Natural Selection 2.

We currently play on Thursdays and Sundays from around 7pm (GMT+1).

We use Mumble for our communication whenever we play. Instructions for installing it are in the link to the right -> (extra installation step below). Don't forget to join the steam chat as well so you can easily join the current server.

Extra Mumble Installation Step - Add NS2.exe to the overlay whitelist.

Go to Configure > Settings > Overlay > Overlay Exceptions > Whitelist, then click 'Add'. Find NS2.exe (usually at Steam\steamapps\common\natural selection 2\ns2.exe) and add it.

First Meetup & Installing Mumble

Our first meetup is on Sunday at 8pm (UTC). Yay!

Make sure you have Mumble installed and working.

Please install Mumble EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MICROPHONE. It keeps us together if we decide to change server and you'll miss out on any cool jokes that are being told.

Instructions for installing Mumble are here.

EXTRA INSTALLATION STEP - Add NS2.exe to the overlay whitelist.

Once you have Mumble installed and are connected to the RPS server, join the Games > Natural Selection 2 channel

Hey Stix,
tonight we make an exception and play some Planteside 2 because of the call to arms. Sunday will be back to normal and we can have some epic NS2 games!

Nice to see some action here!
Skulks are my favorite. They are delicous!
Anyway, we play mostly semi-organized on Thursdays and almost organized on Sundays. Usually starting around 8PM UTC.

If you feel there's a better time to play, feel free to make suggestions either here or on the RPS group forums.

If we can scrap together at least 12 ppl (have been around 8 at the most so far) we could also host our own RPS server for enhanced splendour!
So do join up and make this happen!
