The root$ name was originated in the Counter-Strike beta years by my brother and myself (Gamble). The name itself comes from Linux (if you know anything about Linux you'll understand it). It has grown and evolved into mainly a CS:S clan but also plays games ranging from TF2 to Hidden and so on. This is the third official installment of the root$ name and hopefully it will be the last. We are aspiring to be a large clan and community for people to come play, talk, make some friends and just hang out. So stop on by, tell your friends, and have a good time.

SERVER 2 IS UP

Bay just got the second server up. It is a 24/7 de map rotation. He is still working on getting the kinks out, along with server 1, so expect some downtime for the next couple days. Be sure to add this one to your favorites as well as the first.
