The Room of Awesome

RoA Dungeons-delving & Dragon-slaying time!
Since nobody's jacked up the channel's social nerddom in a while, Kain and I are planning on running a channel-wide Dungeons & Dragons session. Kain's had an idea for a campaign in mind for a long time with nobody to play it with, so he'll be our resident dungeon master (and will probably play a character as well if we can't find a cleric or caster), and I volunteered to make character sheets for the newbies and the lazy (I myself am a newbie in everything besides making character sheets) and also my standard role of nagging people until they join in/get moving. The only things we haven't decided yet are when this will happen and if we'll do this in IRC, Skype or someodd gametable software.

If this seems vaguely appealing or interesting, please tell Kain or Min in the channel. So far we have a barbarian, a bard, a rogue and (apparently) a ninja. What's needed next is a cleric and some kind of spellcaster, and perhaps another fighty-type class since we're already set in terms of sneaky bastards and buff machines.

The more players, the more fun it'll be! It won't be a serious affair and rules can be bent or broken on Kain's discretion, so don't be shy! Just submit your character sheet to Kain (or request one to be made for you) and tell him or Min when a good time to play would be so we can coordinate this session to happen when everybody's available.

Hope to see you there!

-------------------------------------

If you're making your own character sheet, these are the changes from normal that Kain is allowing:

When doing your ability scores, start with a score of 8 for each and then add more from a pool of 24 ability points (like in Neverwinter Nights, except that you are allowed to subtract from the base score of 8 to add more points to your pool of free ability points)

If your character is a caster, you get access to all of your 0-level spells automatically.

-------------------------------------

If you need a character sheet made, please tell Min and give her the following details on your preferences in a character (and tell her if you don't have any preferences about various details):

Name

Class (or type of role. This could be anything from fighter, to buffer, to nuker or even something as wide open as "something I can play as a smarmy git/pretentious noble/asylum escapee/etc. with")

Race

Height

Weight

Weapons (one melee and one ranged weapon recommended)

Equipment

General skill focus

If you need a list or explanation of the possible choices for these, just ask. Custom or non-standard stuff is allowed as long as it isn't stupidly overpowered. If you're a caster, you get access to all of your basic spells/skills from the get-go.
