For all the drive and passion that man can muster, for all the uncompromising attitude and persistance that defines us, for all the contained energy that boils within, in the absense of flesh, we are only ghosts. Without flesh, the artist is an ethereal idea, an active mind with no body, static and devoid of impact. Flesh is the instrument he uses to propel his vision. Without it, desire becomes frustration and vision fades. Nurture flesh, and it will reward him. Appreciate it, and it will please him in return. Train it, and it will lay the foundations of elevated performance that sets
him apart from another. Abuse it, however, and he will know its wrath. At once beautiful and repulsive, powerful and fragile, fluid and solid,
flesh is a body of contradictions. The day will come when it will surely decay, fail and render us no more; but while we breathe, one physical and
undeniably alluring fact remains:
