Stats are loose!

At New Year's Eve I should've taken precautions to prevent the statistics from screwing up (same dates, different year, oh so complicated), but I totally forgot. Someone reminded me of it just now, so I'll go and fix this as soon as possible. I'm not sure yet how long it will take, but it's probably going to be a few days.

As of today our servers are no longer protected by the SteamBans SBSRV plugin. We have decided to remove the plugin because we think that the SteamBans banlist can not be trusted. As you may know, the banlist is based on judging demos. Despite SteamBans's supposed safe way of validating SteamIDs, it has turned out that SteamIDs in demos still can be manipulated. As a result, the SteamBans banlist consists of potentially innocent SteamIDs.

Until SteamBans clears their list and starts to build a new list based on demos that can be trusted, which is currently impossible, we shall not make use of their banlist.

In spite of this sad news, we still appreaciate all incoming demos from our community for use on our local banlist. The sb_record command will remain available for automated recording.

Another change on our servers is that we're no longer running Podbot MM. Although not as many people as we hoped for have voted, our poll pointed out that the majority doesn't appreaciate the presence of bots on nearly empty servers.
