Unnecessary violence 2 help

I got a mod for oblivion called unnecessary violence 2 taking action. I got a new ability called knock out blow. After knocking a few people out i try it on soemoen else and i just hit thme with a regular uvII attack rather than a knock out punch. And it says my attack had no effect. Does anyone know what this means? Can i only like knock out a certain number of people at a time?

If there's a message that specifically says your attack has no effect, there's probably a reason for it. It could be that they are immune to that particular attack, immune to a spell school or protected against it somehow (perhaps armour or an enchantment). It may also be that the mod author has put a time (or other) limit on how often the ability can be used or upon whom you can use it.

Try reloading a save and using the ability only on the NPC for whom you're currently receiving a message. If it works, then there's a limit within the mod. If it doesn't, that NPC may be immune, protected, not-susceptible or there's an issue with the mod.

If it works on some NPCs and displays a message on others, it sounds like it's working correctly, but it might be worthwhile leaving a comment on the mod's Nexus page or PMing the mod author directly.
