[TUTORIAL] How to modify colors and transparency in the overlay
First of all: when you change a color, only put values between 0 (minimum) and 255 (maximum):
r = red
g = green
b = blue
a = alpha (aka the opacity)

With that cleared up, let's get down to business. Locate the files, open them with a text editor and modify the values to your liking.

Change the overlay background color
Where: Metro for Steam\resource\layout\overlaydashboard.layout
overlaymain{ bgcolor = "r g b a" }

Change the background in the overlay black boxes
Where: Metro for Steam\resource\styles\gameoverlay.styles
detailsbox{ bgcolor = "r g b a" }

Show more playtime stats below the clock
Where: Metro for Steam\resource\layout\overlaydesktop.layout
Find this line:
place { control="SessionText" align=top-center start=clock dir=down }

Delete it and paste this in its place:
place { control="SessionText,TwoWeeksText,ForeverText" dir=right spacing=32 margin-top=65 align=top-center start=clock }

SessionText = your playtime in the current session
TwoWeeksText = your playtime in the last 2 weeks
ForeverText = your overall playtime

Only paste what you want to see.

Now find this line:
place { control="NewsDetailPanel,GameGroupsButton,ChatRoomButton,DLCButton,GuideButton,LegacyCDKeyButton,WebSiteButton,RecommendButton,TwoWeeksText,ForeverText" height=0 }

And delete the values you WANT to see in the overlay (e.g. if you wanna see your overall playtime, only delete ForeverTime).

I know this may seem complicated, especially if you aren't familiar with code, but it's the only way atm.

does this just change the color of the overlay once you are in game? cause id like to change the color of the actual skin, have it more black, rather then grey.
