Independent PC Game Reviews & Guides

Launched in early September 2010, Mana Pool is 100% focused on PC games with no distraction by other gaming platforms whatsoever. We’re a 100% independent group of gamers with no affiliation to any publishers, developers or media networks – unlike some of the other ‘game review’ websites out there. We started Mana Pool after we sat together for lunch one day ranting how biased the gaming industry had really become. The idea was brought forward to do something about that and share our own opinions – and that’s where Mana Pool was first born.

Shogun 2 Clan

Since Shogun 2 clans are linked to Steam Groups - you can now find a "Mana Pool" clan in Shogun 2. If you enjoy the odd bit of multiplayer (The Avatar campaign is really quite good), come and join us. You get an achievement for joining a clan, and get to enjoy the benefits of the clan choice (We've gone for the melee bonuses - so your katana samurai will enjoy a reduced number of casualties).

It's an extremely casual affair - the Shogun 2 multiplayer is set-up in a way that let's you play as little or as often as you want, with no obligations upfront. Our victories are added together - and we get ranked in our league accordingly.

I'll probably play a match or two a week - come and join us even if it's just to show some support. :-) We've got a campaign map to conquer!

Hah, tbh I wish the Steam Community would integrate a little better into Steam. It's actually pretty tricky to follow the activity easily.

I'll tell you what, though, I'm glad I paid attention to the timestamps on the last posts and said lots of relevant things for my first posts here. Always good to make a strong first impression.
