This group is a casual hang out for European, American or any other time zoned goons to run around shooting idiots in silly hats with old guns in Warbands Mount and Musket/Napoleonic Wars DLC.

The Napoleonic Wars was a time of violent but colourful party parades on killing fields. Men played instruments and cheerfully hacked each other to death whilst giving their lives up for simple flags. Drunks, inbreds, loons and men with actual charisma were the leaders and the most inaccurate firearm ever was the law. This is why we don't play this mod too serously.

Historically, the first dragoons were infantrymen, trained to ride into
battle but fight on foot. Equipping cavalry units with horses was an
expensive business, and so the best were always kept for the 'real' cavalry,
leaving the dragoons to make do with cheaper, slower steeds. Dragoons slowly
changed into cavalry soldiers like any other, and stopped fighting as mounted
infantry, although regiments did retain the dragoon title. The "old" cavalry
had always regarded them as social inferiors, and the infantry had resented
them for not being proper soldiers, so the dragoons welcomed their new
acceptability as full-blown cavalry.

Basically goons it'll be a few more months before Warbands non NW and base community comes back from War Of The Roses and some of the newer or older multiplayer mods will work themselves out.

The good news however is that the NW goons community is still going strong and a sale is coming so that is the best bet in joining us if you hung out with us in the MM days.

On monday this group will be shut down, all Warband and NW events will take place in the Goons With Spontoons group so if you are planning to either pick up Napoleonic Wars in the holiday sale or get a copy gifted to you go to the thread and throw me your STEAM ID and I'll invite you (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3475780) to the NW Spontoons group.

For those of us who lost interest who don't have the time now or in the future for NW and Warband fun I personally thank you for taking interest and investing time with us. Just remember draGoons aren't dead they have a shiny new taco hat instead. We're not going anywhere so you may join us still.
