ABOUT LambdaGeneration

Valve Community Media and News

LambdaGeneration (LambdaGen, LG or λG for short) is a Valve-centric community website which aims to bring you the biggest Valve-related news, and the finest community-created media and content. The site is frequently updated by a small team of active staff members, and a number of support staff contributors (you can find a brief list of the most active and notable staff members below). While we might cover miscellaneous industry news from time to time, and while we do actively cover all Steam or even Source-related subjects - above all else, we focus on Valve and the Valve community.

So generally speaking, we cover everything related to Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, as well as Valve's other game franchises, products, and activities. And we're always trying to add as much depth, context and value as we can to each and every report, editorial, or article. We don't aim for high-speed, low-substance news barrages, because the big industry sites already have that covered. We don't cover baseless, unverifiable rumors, because no one likes it when a community trolls itself. We aim for detailed, integral, and comprehensive postings on a wide variety of topics, because we believe that keeping you in the loop always comes first, no matter what.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to give you heads up about Operation Black Mesa (opposing force remake) being on Greenlight. It's coming along quite good, according to stats. We appreciate if you vote.
