Howdy
Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been a long time lurker on the website, and finally decided to join the steam group, I'm not big on social networking as a whole - as I find most online communities petty and combative - but I'm always impressed by the thoughtful and funny comments on the Gameological forums. You seem like a cool group of people.

Anyways. As a way of starting out on the right foot, I have an extra copy of "Don't Starve" for anybody who's interested. I've been playing the shit out of it lately.

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome, good Sir or Madam! Enjoy your time with the Steam group, and feel free to join us in the Gameological Steam chat, where we have lengthy debates about Cole Phelps' wardrobe.

-instantly calls Merve something horrid for being nice-
Actually we are all pretty solidly awesome, so feel free to lurk, debate, chat or play.

I'm mostly a console gamer (X-Box 360), but I have just been drawn into Steam because of the awesome holiday sale, particularly on indie games. I don't really have a "gaming" computer, so I mostly just use it for indie games I can't get on XBLA (or I want to own in a more meaningful way that buying on XBLA). Are there any good multiplayer indie-type games you all play?

A lot of us play Team Fortress 2, which I don't think is terribly demanding on one's computer. Some of us also like to play some Portal 2 co-op every now and then. As for more indie-ish games, I think quite a few Gameological-ers play Torchlight 2, which has co-op functionality and isn't terribly taxing on one's PC.
