Invites, The Chat & You
Lately, the FPS has been growing by leaps and bounds. There have been new members and lots of great conversations made in the chat. I would like to take a few seconds to talk about a few important things about the group.
First, why is it invite only?
With the FPS being the second incarnation of the Play Responsibly Club, we learned one thing really fast with it. We had a public group with over 1500 members and maybe 30 regularly played with eachother. Since moving onto the FPS, we've got a smaller group of about 300 with about 50-70 active players. Our goal is for this to be more of a community that plays together rather than another group you join for the lols.
So how do I get invited into the group?
Well little billy, thats simple. If you look on the groups steam page, you'll notice a button that says "Join Chat Room". Click on that. Head on in there, hang out for a while, play a game with some people and you'll get an invite.
Why are you making me do this?
The chat is where people idle and talk when trying to find people to play various games with and is a core element of this group. I personally am sick of people coming into the chat, asking for invites then after being invited, leaving and never coming back again. If you're not willing to take the time to stop in and play a game with us, you don't really belong here.
So, now that I've got my invite and joined the group, what should I do?
Well, hang in the chat, get to know some people and play games. There are all sorts of games being played at all hours of the day, you just need to get in the chat and find some people.
