except homestuck is a webcomic that panders to (i dont really know the demographic but i would guess 15 or so and up), whereas MLP is a show for little girls
so dont try to compare two things that are completely different
and to add, they ARE shoving it into peoples faces 24/7, i dont even watch the show and i think i know at least half of the characters in it and their names, i havent even watched any episodes at all
