The Future of EchoLan
Ok everyone. Its serious business time. There are some changes coming and you all need to be aware of them.
As I'm sure you are aware Sambridg and I put a lot of time into EchoLan, always trying to bring you better events and more gaming fun. We have had some great events and good memories over the past two years. Unfortunately we are both starting to take different paths in our lives that require a bit of a change with EchoLan as you know it.
Later this year Sambridg will be moving to Turangi for a new job as a Hut Warden in the Tongariro National Park. Also I have been wanting to take a step back from EchoLan for a while to allow myself to pursue other aspects of my life.
So what this means is that after EchoLan #8, we will no longer be hosting LAN events.
Sad news I know, but now its time for the silver lining.
In case you didn't see it above. There will be a EchoLan #8. From September 2 - 4th. Why so far away you ask? Well since this is going to be our last EchoLan, we want to do everything we can to make it bigger, better, and more amazing than ever. We want to have one last huzzah before bidding farewell to the EchoLan events.
Another thing to remember is although we will no longer be having events we will still be maintaining the community in other regards. The website will not be going down, we will still be here and willing to help people with their own events, and help the NZ gaming / lanning community in any way we can.
Please feel free to ask any questions or leave comments in this thread.
