The iCal feed initially had no entry for GameSoc this Saturday (05/12/15) but I've now confirmed with Peter that one's been booked. This might take some time to propagate to everyone's own calendars, as many calendar services (e.g. Google Calendar) only update iCal feeds every couple of days and some (e.g. MS Outlook) don't update themselves at all, but don't worry; it's really happening!

Additionally, if the room booking can be extended to start much earlier, we may well put on the successor to last year's popular GameSoc: Extended. For those who aren't familiar, this involves having a bunch of people play multiplayer with each other for an extended period of time. Last time it was Minecraft, whereas this year, candidates such as Warframe or Halo Online/El Dewrito have been suggested. Any further suggestions are welcome, but remember, it needs to be able to fit everyone into the same game, not get boring after an hour, have a skill ceiling such that Marius Weber doesn't beat everyone so badly it's not fun any more, and should *ideally* also be free or cheap (or already owned by everyone).

If you show up to GameSoc occasionally, you're fine to be part of the Steam and Facebook groups, as well as the mailing list. If you don't, then there's not really much point - you're just going to see a bunch of Churchill people come online at the same time occasionally.

If you want to be put on the mailing list, post your CRSID here, or PM it to me.

Is this only open to people at Churchill college or are members of other colleges also welcome?

Just in case anyone didn't get my email, here's a link to an ICAL feed for GameSoc for this year. If you download it now, it only contains Saturday sessions for this term, but if you subscribe to it, it'll be updated with future terms as well as details of any special events, such as end-of-term extra long sessions or any tournaments we might hold.
