MOD TOOLS AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD THROUGH STEAM !!!! YES FINALLY ARRIVED !!!! in their limited form xD
Whether your a modder, mapper or a gamer the official mod tools release for black ops will be the most awesome event of the year for Call of Duty Black Ops.
This group will try and keep you up to date with whats going on and what's new.
In time the mod tools will transform the game we know, adding untold new content in the form of fresh new mods (*and maps hopefully one day), multiplayer & zombies if lucky, created by you, the talented gaming public :)
If anything like world at war's modding is to go by then we are in for a real treat \o/
The Website will include any of your mods, maps(*) tutorials, etc and show your modded servers running with descriptions, vids and pic's :) whatever you want ! You can even use the site to arrange your own events for clan matches/ coop or fun etc, you decide :)
Thers's a great facebook style social side built in to the site with blogs, walls, groups and much more, upload your pics & vid's tobe featured on the site too :)
Excite others with what your working on, hook up with others that are using the mod tools, show off your creations :) suggest something you would like to see, record tut's for helping others or asking for help :) the possibilities are endless, so jump in and get involved , you and your creations will create the site , and the best bit is there will be NO ADVERTISING related or not ! if there's one thing wrong with many sites these days it's trying see what you want mixed in with all the advertising. The site was not made to make money from advertising it was made for the love of gaming and sharing XD
We can all help make more content than any official map packs offered and it will all be FREE !!!!
Dont forget to POST ABOUT YOUR CREATIONS ON THE WEBSITE !! it's set up so once you join the related group (i.e modder, tut maker ,host etc) you will be given author rights and then be able to include pic's, vid's and description which integrates into the menu system for all to find easily, use and enjoy and comment on !! Any missuse of the privalige will result in getting tango'd ! :D

to do with this information, its possible on a blank rank.gsc file, in the appropriate folders > mod> maps> mp> ... and so on but you need to edit or add to a certain section of the file where I've already tried to do this with another copy of a file. I've got the info here off the web, apparently this is what has to be done in order to get this to work but if anyone could help by getting another rank.gsc file and trying this or at least helping me: that'd be much appreciated. I've started on this but can't get it to work. I've put it somewhere and edited the file but I think I'm doing it wrong in the .gsc file. Any credit could be given to anyone, so please try to help > I don't know where this goes or what I'm doing wrong. Thanks. Oh... and the information off the web which you'lll have to apply to another rank.gsc file in order to get the forge mod to work on the PC version of Black Ops. I'm a new modder so please be kind and help as best you can. Sorry if you can't understand...
Can anyone help me, as I want to make a mod by myself, similar to forge on halo for xbox but for black ops on PC. I know consoles have an auto rank hack and forge mod menu but it would be nice to have a forge only mod where you could just pick up stuff and move them around. I already started on it with a blank rank.gsc file but need to edit some stuff in order for it to work, as I've tested it myself. I'm new to modding and have got heaps of mods now but this one I have not seen anywhere other than the roll the dice mod where you have the forge power by moving stuff around by right-clicking (A.D.S.) at objects and manuevering them around and then right-clicking again to drop them, but that's a roll and I'd like for you to be able to do that all the time, so the same thing- using right-click to move only the whole mod is forge. I saw somewhere on the net it's possible to do this but I'd have to change a button to 'hold' or the 'right-click' button to move but don't know where or what...
