BO3 will be the Call of Duty game releasing in 2015. Black Ops 3, which was developed by Treyarch, tells a story of technology replacing or bettering the human body. According to the story, individuals are using technology to solve health issues and improve their overall physical capabilities. The military has begun using this futuristic technology throughout their campaigns as well.
This game isn't as fantasy-driven as CoD: Advanced Warfare was, but it still offers some new and unique additions that are beyond the years of previous Black Ops games. Black Ops 3's new movement system gives players new abilities and quickens the playing pace a bit, but it's not as chaotic or sporadic as the movements in other titles like AW.
Following the success of games like Destiny, Treyarch has even put in a new classes system in BO3. To make the game more interesting players are now able to select a specialist - a class that gives the player access to either a powerful weapon or a useful ability. Players can choose to use a weapon that change the tide of battle in a few short moments or use one of many abilities that allow them to pop out of sight, teleport back to a previous position, and a lot more.
Many people have been saying that Call of Duty is on a downward trend and some are hoping that Black Ops 3 will save the franchise. Many people absolutely hated that you could fly so high with the exo suits in AW, as well as get kills using laser-powered rifles. Black Ops 3 does include new movements and more, but not to the level of flight or ridiculousness like in CoD: AW. In other words, just about everyone should be comfortable with the minor changes that have been made to the movement system.
If sporty new moves and character classes aren't enough for you, good news, BO3 still has even more new features. Gunsmith is a nifty new addition that makes it possible to view weapons in a 3D atmopshere as well as make custom designs to stick on the sides of a gun and more. All of these brand-new features will definitely help Black Ops 3 feel like a new game. Lots of players are in the mindset that Call of Duty games are nearly all copy-and-paste jobs just with slightly different maps and guns. BO3, on the other hand, has a lot more to offer than that.
Despite all of the hate and rumors of the series being on a decline, it was recently announced that Black Ops 3 has already gone gold, prior to launch. While many are stoked for BO3, it may lag behind sales projections simply because of the massive hype behind another shooter, Star Wars Battlefront, that's also being released in November.
