Too true. If anything, these games are preparing us for what we might face in the real world. If the government takes away our right to play violent games, they are also taking away our protection against idiots with guns in the world. Stop wasting our time and give us our adult games!

What is so bad about violent video games? It's not like we're going to do it in real life!

I too find it annoying with the ratings as when I was younger I could just purchase a MA 18+ game just because an adult was near by. I'm also disapointed at the many games that are released in America (because they have R ratings for games) But not released in Oz. Many will know about what the age of 60% of Call of Duty players ages are.

I know what you mean. It only took eternity. They're so damn blind it makes me angry! They just simply can't allow adults to purchase games for children! I mean who gives a shit who plays the damn game! If someone bought their game I say don't care who plays it, you made a bloody sale, that's all you big games industry guys care about, right? About how big they can make their pool with their filthy, filthy money!

If they take away our 18+ games that is taking a bit of our freedom which, for some of us, is extremely precious and hard to come by. If the government is that worried about these games. then the stores that distribute them should take more care in who they sell it to. It's not our fault the best games (usually) have people busting into a million pieces. If they can't handle that, they can piss off.

Guys, don't forget to go to the Australian Law Reform site and post a submission for R 18+ for video games, and against across-the-board internet filtering.

Submissions close on the 15th July so hurry!

Fighting for Australian gamers since 17th Century

"Strueneese both the personal physician of the mentali ill King Christian VII and the lover of Queen Caroline Mathilde, the commoner John Frederick von Struensee exercised great influence within the Danish court. In 1771, he was officialy appointed as minister and was conferred the title of count. In the spirit of the Enlightenment, he abolished censorship and torture while reducing the taxes on the farmers. A very marginal minority of youth may potentially get an adult-only game.
What do you do?
Punish everyone.
