Xtreme Deathmatch (XDM) is a server side mod for Half-Life 1 that lets server admins have more control over the game. Get away from the monotony of regular Half-Life Deathmatch (HLDM) and jump into the fast paced excitement of XDM. Is running on the ground and jumping around getting tiresome? Fly though the air with a grappling hook and go places you've never imagined reaching before. Enhance your game play with power up runes such as health regeneration, attack, defense, and movement.. Since XDM is a server side mod, players can join the server without having to download any files outside of Steam. XDM allows server administrators to customize settings like weapon damage and ammo, player health and armor, colors, runes, and grappling hook. You can now have a working spectator mode on a valve server including first person spectator mode. There are other features like broken objects regenerating, and an adjusting time and frag limit based on the number of players on the server, and server side bunny hop ability.
